1. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

2. Description of Service

MyCoverLetters.com provides tools for creating cover letters, managing resumes, and building professional portfolio pages. The Service includes AI-powered cover letter generation using Anthropic's Claude technology.

3. AI-Generated Content

• Cover letters generated by the Service are created using artificial intelligence based on information you provide
• AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed and edited by you before use
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, appropriate for every situation, or will produce specific results in your job search
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any cover letter, resume, or application you submit to employers
• We are not an employment agency, recruiter, or career advisor. The Service is a document preparation tool.

4. Your Content and Data

• You retain ownership of all content you create or upload, including resumes, cover letters, and portfolio information
• You grant us a limited license to use your content solely for providing the Service (e.g., displaying your portfolio page, processing your data through the AI)
• You may export your cover letters and resumes at any time in PDF or DOCX format
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time
• We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

5. Third-Party Information (References)

When you enter reference contact information into the Service:

• You represent and warrant that you have obtained consent from each individual to share their contact information
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of reference information you provide
• We do not contact, verify, or market to your references
• References may contact us at any time to request removal of their information

6. Public Portfolio Pages

• If you create a public portfolio page, the information you choose to include is publicly accessible via your portfolio URL
• You control what information appears on your portfolio page
• You may deactivate your portfolio page at any time, which immediately removes it from public access
• You must not include false, misleading, or defamatory content on your portfolio page

7. Subscription and Payment

• The Service offers free and premium tiers
• Free tier includes limited cover letter generation
• Premium features are available via paid subscription or credit pack purchases
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment card information
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
• Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to create fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive job application materials
• Misrepresent your qualifications, work history, or references
• Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Share your account credentials with others

9. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by VisionQuest Services LLC
• Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service
• You retain all rights to your resumes, cover letters, and content
• AI-generated cover letters are yours to use, modify, and distribute as you wish

10. Disclaimer — Not Employment Services

The Service is a document preparation tool. We do not:

• Guarantee employment or interview outcomes
• Provide career counseling or advice
• Act as an employment agency or recruiter
• Verify employer information or job postings
• Make hiring decisions or recommendations

11. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms
• Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VISIONQUEST SERVICES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VisionQuest Services LLC from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of application materials to employers.

15. Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York
• Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation
• If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Niagara County, New York
• You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting updated Terms on this page.
